In the late 80s, NBC spun-off Family Ties with a series that centered around Steven Keaton’s old college roommate, Brian Harper. Brian and his wife, Kate, lived through the excessiveness of the 80s with their high profile careers and miss out on their son Ross’ upbringing (who’s now a teenager). When Kate becomes later-in-life pregnant, the Harper’s decide to quit their jobs and open a daycare in their house. Did I mention that Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Courtney Thorne-Smith also star?
Anyway, in this episode of A Very Special Podcast, Patrick and Kat watch "A Very Brady Episode.” This is the one where Ross receives an F on his History essay and when he becomes upset that his parents aren’t more like Carol and Mike Brady, he daydreams he’s living in an episode of The Brady Bunch; but it quickly escalates into a ‘daymare’.
